Purpose
The VADTel AIIoTU8 unit is intended for remote telemetry from utility meters including gas volume correctors, heat calculators, and water meters. It transmits data to a centralized server for collection, analysis, and long-term storage using GSM/GPRS networks operating at 900/1800 MHz frequencies. Includes integrated Ex ib IS barrier RS-485 interface for intrinsically safe connections (optional for EX version).

Aufmerksamkeit
- This device itself is not ATEX certified equipment and shall not be installed in Zone 0, 1, or 2 areas
- Installation in explosive environments is prohibited.
- However, the device integrates an intrinsically safe (Ex ib) RS-485 interface for connection to certified Zone 1 equipment (e.g. Elster EK). The device itself shall be installed outside hazardous areas (optional for EX version).

Installation & Operation
Installation
- Installation must be performed by certified specialists.
- Normally, no configuration of the module is necessary.
- Installation requirements:
- Protect from direct sunlight.
- Minimum distance from metal structures: 3 cm.
Maintenance
- Annual inspection:
- Check for housing and seal integrity.
- Clean with a dry, soft cloth.
