Purpose

The VADTel AIoTU5 unit is designed for remote monitoring of household utility meters (gas, water, electricity), data transmission via GSM/GPRS/LTE-M/NB-IoT networks to cloud platforms, and integration into smart home systems.

Installation & Operation

Installation

  • Installation must be performed by certified specialists.
  • The module is easily mounted in a vacant module slot of the meter.
  • Normally, no configuration of the module is necessary.
  • Installation requirements:
    • Protect from direct sunlight.
    • Minimum distance from metal structures: 3 cm.
Final assembly

Maintenance

  • Annual inspection:
    • Check for housing and seal integrity.
    • Clean with a dry, soft cloth.
  • Battery replacement: after 5(10) years of operation.

Safety & Disposal

Warning

  • Do not dismantle the device — risk of battery damage!
  • Dispose of the device according to the WEEE Directive: deliver to a specialized recycling center.

RoHS Compliance

The device does not contain:

  • Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (CrVI).
  • Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs).
